Making a long-celebrated event modern with a new visual identity
At a seaside enclave located in Richmond, BC there is an annual festival celebrating spot prawns and other seafood. This festival is a huge tourism draw for the little community and part of their larger coastal identity. Previously branded under Tourism Richmond, I was tasked with creating a new, independent identity that would allow the festival to have its own voice for years to come. Using the icon of the festival, I crafted a logo based on the āSā from Steveston and worked in the spot prawn.
